Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery
The Division of Surgical Oncology provides comprehensive cancer care through the John and Mary Pappajohn Clinical Cancer Center at Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Surgical Oncology
This multidisciplinary program brings together specialists in surgery, internal medicine and radiation oncology to deliver coordinated care for patients with both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Dedicated clinic and inpatient spaces support a seamless experience from diagnosis through treatment.
Endocrine Surgery
Our endocrine surgery team evaluates and treats conditions affecting the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands and endocrine pancreas. The team performs advanced procedures, including minimally invasive parathyroidectomy with intraoperative PTH monitoring and laparoscopic adrenalectomy.
Breast Cancer Care Program
The Breast Cancer Care Program offers a comprehensive, team-based approach that includes diagnosis, treatment, reconstruction and long-term follow-up. Patients receive individualized care that may include surgery, radiation therapy, medical treatment or a combination of approaches.
Surgical oncology faculty work closely with specialists in plastic and reconstructive surgery to support breast reconstruction when needed, ensuring coordinated, patient-centered care.
