The fellowship is a one-year program combining all aspects of care for the bariatric surgery patient as well as additional insight into the academic, research, administrative and fiscal aspects of a bariatric surgery program. The Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) have repeatedly recognized UI Health Care as an accredited comprehensive center.
