A Multidisciplinary Approach
Surgery Training
The University of Iowa Breast Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic, with breast surgery, medical oncology, and genetic counselors working together in the same space, while breast imaging and radiation oncology is only a short walk away. Our fellows are successful in academic surgery, as leaders of community breast centers, and as private-practice breast surgeons.

Continue your growth at Iowa
The University of Iowa Multidisciplinary Breast Surgery Fellowship was started in 2008 and was approved by the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) in 2013. We were reaccredited for 5 years in 2016. The volume and breadth of surgical experience prepares our graduating fellows for practice in a variety of clinical settings.
